Evaporation Boats are an ideal solutions to many thin film coating processes. Boat sources are probably the most popular evaporation sources due to their ease of use and a wide range of capacities.
Because the boat is the source of the heat for evaporation, the boat must operate at a temperature considerably above that required to evaporate the material it contains.
